Living debt-free is a choice we make every day. What is debt? Merriam-webster.com defines debt as an amount of money that you owe to a person, bank, company, etc. To go one step further, let’s define debt as monthly payments with interest on depreciating items. If you owe money on a car, credit cards, or furniture, you are in debt. We can help you to create a plan to live debt-free.
My financial story is not remarkable. For me, it was a lack of knowledge about finances. I had no clue how credit worked, I was in debt and didn’t care one bit. I thought I was managing well, but I was actually in the dangerous cycle living paycheck to paycheck.
I remember being introduced to the concept of debt-free living and wanted everyone I came in contact with to know how to be debt-free.
Over time, I developed and presented money management and debt-free living workshops at churches other organizations. I’ve assisted countless people in developing plans to live below their means so that they can enjoy the freedom of living debt-free.
I have a fierce compassion for financial education and helping people to proactively take control of their finances and empower them to make better-informed decisions regarding consumer financial products and services.
I have a Masters degree in Education and I’m an Accredited Financial Counselor® and a Financial Fitness Coach® certified by the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education (AFCPE®).
